This software uses a radio frequency receiver and runs off a database. I have noticed it is behaving differently for different classes and Professors. There is 2 –way communication from the clicker to the receiver. This software/hardware is used in classes to ask questions and automatically record and score the answers. It is very useful in classes that are large and also it is used in smaller classes to get students to interact and think and apply what they have learned. It can also be used by the prof to gage how well the students understand the material and whether they need to go back over concepts/info they are teaching so the students can understand it better. Like all technology it is used in good and bad ways and the more creative the prof is and thinking outside of the box the better it works.
The database in particular for one prof who has anger management issues has become a bit unwieldy. He has the most problems with the software working correctly. What I learned about the programming of the software is that if you keep repeating the same lessons without clearing out the debris it creates this ever-expanding problem. It seems to feed on itself and just create more problems in the long run. To solve part of the problem this prof is having I created a new database and then exported the lessons from the old one he still needs to use and then import this into the new database. This gives a fresh start and a better chance at managing the size and effectiveness of the database. It seems that with him as he gets angry and frustrated it causes more problems for himself. He is impatient and very dramatic at times. So far he keeps identifying with a label he was given and this is his excuse for part of his behavior. The amusing thing is, he is a very good teacher. The students who pass his class have no problem when they go on to other schools and studies. Just from working with him and observing his class and teaching (I have been in the class making sure clicker system works and it is just natural for me to be the observer) he still operates from a more Pisces kind of energy but really understands how study groups work. His class is large about 200 to 300 students if they all show up. He is a complex human (as we all are)
Here is what is happening with the programming that is very similar to the way it works for us. When you have many lifetimes and just keep repeating the same lessons and not learning and healing from them, the database becomes this self-perpetuating thing that just brings more and more of what can be seen as problems. The solution is to create new database and only export the lessons you still need to learn. This seems like the reason we have many lifetimes and there are many ways to clear out and heal the debris. There is also part of the database that is inherited by your physical self in each lifetime. This is conditioning of the society, beliefs handed down from generation to generation, things taught to you as you are growing up etc. Sometimes programming is still running below the surface and you just have to become aware of it and then you have the ability to let it go. I am learning to this by just observing without judgment when it pops up in me and it almost seems that the act of just observing it from neutral allows its energy to just dissolve. It seems that if you do not choose to heal and change the habits that are causing you pain and discomfort then you will just keep on repeating those lessons (ground-hog day effect) building this huge database of problems. Interesting thing about the Operating system on a pc is that you have to maintain it a little. You have to delete the temporary files and defragment the hard drive to have the computer run better. Yoga and meditation does this for me with my human body/mind or as you call everyday self or ego. From the loss of my memory and then having it come back by growing new neural pathways to those memories, I have discovered that all cells in my body are part of the hard drive system (memory), they work with other systems/organs in the body to create this amazing powerful physical being which works best when you tune into your true self (soul or higher self).
I am still having a hard time expressing this in words but now understand how it works. This why meditation is so very important and for me and yoga is a great way to tune up the body and glandular systems etc. It is a little like in Japji when Guru Nanak says something to the effect of you can try to express it in words but they do not do it justice when you deeply listen. I am paraphrasing from memory. Computers are very rudimentary compared to the way our bodies and levels of consciousness works.
